Helgen som var hade Kviltarna sin syhelg. Som vanligt en mycket trevlig helg . Vi sydde, pratade, åt gott och bläddrade i quilt-tidningar. Har ingenting färdigt att visa då jag inte hann klart det jag påbörjat så ni får allt vänta ett tag till. Tänkte däremot visa lite annat som jag hunnit sy den sista tiden. Tack tjejer för en underbar helg! Saknade dig mamma! 

This weekend our sewing group "Kviltarna" got together for some sewing. As usual we had a great weekend . Some sewing, alot of chatting, good food and looking through magazines. Didn’t have time to finish what I started so you’ll have to wait a bit longer for that. I have, however, gotten some sewing done lately and thought I’d show that instead. Thanks girls for a wounderful weekend! Missed you mum!

Never in a million years did I expect such response to my first pattern. When I wrote my post I set out to anser each comment individually but soon realized that was impossible! Well, maybe not impossible but you most surely would have had to wait a very long time to get the pattern .

Har just fått färdigt vad som är mitt allra första mönster! Jag är så glad och så inspirerad att göra fler. Idag fyllde jag år! Ännu ett år har gått och de här senaste åren har gått så otroligt fort. Känns som om jag inte riktigt hinner med, det har hänt så mycket. För tre år sen stod jag på Coop-parkeringen utklädd till häxa och kokade häxbrygd. Jag var inte gift, jag hade inga barn och jag ägde inget hus. Nu sitter jag i vår villa ute på landet. Jag har en underbar make och två otroliga barn! Dessutom ett lånebarn och en hund. Jag har underbara vänner, en trevlig och beroendeframkallande hobby och livet kan egentligen inte bli så mycket bättre.

Dagen har avnjutits med tårta och vänner. Presenter har jag fått så jag måste ha varit snäll . Jag har till och med hunnit med lite handsömnad mellan vågorna av besökare som velat gratta.

Today was my birthday! Another yeas has gone by and it seems these last couple of years has passed by oh so fast and so much has happend. Three years ago I stod outside Coop Forum dressed as a witch giving away witchesbrew. I wasn’t married, didn’t have any kids and owned no house. Today I’m sitting in our house out on the countryside. I have a wounderful husband and two incredible kids! Also the bonuschild and a dog. I have great friends and a nice and addictive hobby and I’m thinking that life couldn’t be much better.

The day has gone by with friends and cake. I even got pressies so I must have been nice . And in between the congratulating visitors I’ve gotten some sewing done.

Here is the picture I promised. This is the Blue Wren’s nest bag I sew backwards yesterday, only to get it finished to give to my friend Lotta for her birthday.

Idag har jag sytt baklänges - men inte på det sätt ni tror! Jag är ju tillfälligtvis utan symaskin så Janne plockade upp hans pappas gamla Husqvarna ur källaren så att jag skulle få sy lite. Nu saknades instruktionsboken men jag är ju inte helt tappad bakom en vagn, bara nästan . Jag trädde tråden och tog fram en provlapp, rattade lite på de olika rattarna och den sydde finfina stygn. Det var bara det att den sydde baklänges ! Hur jag än rattade och vred, skruvade och tryckte så ville den inte annat. Ringde mamma men hon kunde inte hjälpa mig. Nu heter det ju att nöden inte har nån lag så jag anpassade mig fort och sydde en hel väska - baklänges! Bild kommer i morgon.

Today I’ve been sewing backwards - but not in the way you think! Since my own sewingmachine hasn’t arrived home yet my husband went down to the basement and got his father’s old Husqvarna so that I would get to sew. There was no instructionmanual but since I consider myself not totally stupid, close, but not totally , I didn’t anticipate any problems. I threaded the machine, took out a piece of scrapfabric, turned the different wheels and the machine sew beautiful stitches. Only problem was it sew backwards ! No matter how I turned the wheels or pushed the buttons the sewingmachine would not sew the right way. I tried calling my mom but she couldn’t help me. But you know what they say, If you gotta - you gotta! So I sew a whole bag - backwards! I’ll put in a picture tomorrow.
